Burj Khalifa

burj-khalifa-dubaiBefore it was opened on January 10, 2010, Burj Khalifa, located in the United Arab Emirates, was a Dubai real estate property called Burj Dubai. During its grand opening, Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum oversaw Burj Khalifa's ceremony. There were fantastic light works and fireworks. The lavish ceremony made news around the world, with most major networks broadcasting the event. The tower is named after UAE President Sheikh Kalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

On September 2004, construction of this Dubai property investment started. The construction was by Emaar Properties, one of the well-known developers of Dubai properties in UAE. Construction of Burj Khalifa took more than 6 years primarily because of its height and sheer size.

It is regarded as the tallest man-made structure in the world. It is taller than the Petronas Twin Towers and Taipei 101, buildings that previously held the world's tallest building titles. Burj Khalifa's official height is 828 meters or 2,717 feet. This fact was kept under wraps and was not made known to the public until the tower's grand opening.

The Burj Khalifa building floors consist of the following: basement parking, Armani Residences, Armani Hotel, Armani Suites, residential floors, Sky Lobby, corporate suites, commercial floors, At the Top observatory, Atmosphere restaurant, mechanic, communication, and broadcasting floors, as well as 160 floors for residence and 46 maintenance levels located in the spire. In total, it has a total floor area is 464, 511 square meter. It cost $1.5 billion to build the tower.
