Business Bay
When His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Ruler of Dubai took leadership in Dubai, he envisioned turning the region into a global commercial leader. To that end, he envisioned an area within the city similar to Manhattan, where businesses, residential properties and entertainment venues all sat side by side in a virtual city within a city. Business Bay is located on an extension of Dubai Creek. The 64 million square foot development stretches from Ras al Khor to Sheikh Zayed Road, and within those boundaries developers have placed gardens, residential towers, commercial real estate, canals walkways and paved roads.
